A single vertical photograph of Talaat Harb Square in downtown Cairo, a round square ringed by ornate early-20th-century European-style buildings with domed corner towers, wrought-iron balconies and tall arched windows, where the frame is divided into three organic, flowing sections running from top to bottom, each showing a different era of the same place: on the left, the 1900s in warm sepia tones, with horse-drawn carriages, men in tarboush hats and dark suits or long galabiyas, and women in long modest dresses and headscarves; in the center, the 1960s in faded film color, with an old tram on street rails, rounded period cars and black-and-white taxis; on the right, the present day as a sharp, vivid modern digital photo, with today's compact cars and SUVs, white taxis, pedestrians in modern casual clothes holding smartphones, and air-conditioning units on the balconies. The transitions between eras are seamless, with no hard dividing lines: the eras dissolve into each other through architectural details, people's clothing and vehicles, so the same facades age and renew as they cross the frame. Same camera angle, same perspective, different times bleeding into each other. Street-level view across the square, with building facades, the street and everyday life visible in every section. Each section is photorealistic in the authentic photographic style of its era, and nothing from one era appears in another era's section. Everyone is an ordinary passer-by in modest clothing. No readable text anywhere: shop signs, awnings and billboards are plain and blank, with no letters, no numbers, no logos, no flags and no watermark.
